NETs self-introduction

Mr Bruno’s Profile:

My name is Ayeah Bruno and I am teaching Primary 1, 2 and 3 this academic year. I have been in Hong Kong for 13 years with my Family, and I have been a NET at Sha Tin Methodist Primary School since 2014. I am very passionate about educating young learners and I enjoy their company.
I graduated with an undergraduate in Accounting, a master’s in Finance and in Education and have been teaching for close to 20 years, after a previous job in accounting and management. While I have always felt driven to be an elementary school educator, the joy I feel from facilitating the growth and development of the students at Sha Tin Methodist Primary School only reaffirmed my passion.
In my free time, I read. I am an avid reader and love reading the news, stories, poetry, comics, and a lot of educational materials. Learning new things is one of my hobbies, too, and with the help of computers and iPads I can learn new skills and improve myself.
My teaching philosophy is that every child should be introduced to the tools they need to establish their own learning style. I believe that my enthusiasm, positive attitude, and hands-on experience working with the students here will inspire them in all areas of their life.

Mr Matthew's Profile:

Hi everyone!
My name is Matthew Stephan, I am originally from South Africa. I have been living and teaching in Hong Kong for almost 7 years now and I'm very excited to be joining Sha Tin Methodist Primary School where I will be teaching Primary 4, 5 and 6 this year.
I am truly passionate about teaching young learners. It brings me immense joy to see their curiosity and eagerness to learn. I believe that every child has the potential to excel, and I am dedicated to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for them to thrive.
In my free time, I enjoy doing yoga and being outdoors. I believe these are very important factors in keeping a healthy and happy mentality, especially with the busy and fast-paced lives we live in Hong Kong. My other hobbies include computer gaming and DJing (mixing music)
In my role at Sha Tin Methodist Primary School, I look forward to catering to the individual learning needs of my students and inspiring them to grow a love for learning and life. May we have a fruitful and fun learning adventure together!
